1999 is a drum and bass agency founded by C4C’s Mark Clements (Cause4Concern) and Giles Refoy (Lifesize MC). The agency was formed in honour of the industry’s golden years when drum and bass was at its all-time height as a rich and diversified genre that catalyzed the success of the music we’ve come to know today.
The agency is a cohesive unit of forward-thinking individuals with an unrelenting and implacable love for DnB. From the founders and artists to the designers and the promoters, every one of us is an advocate for this music who all share the common moral ethics of kindness, fairness, positivity, and integrity, encompassing these values into everything we do.

C4C has had their roots in DnB since 1999. At the turn of the millennium, the former four piece set up their own record label, Cause4Concern Recordings, as a direct channel to promote their material and push the sounds of similar like-minded artists. In 2009, they dropped their highly-acclaimed debut album “Pandemic” and have since had over 30 groundbreaking releases on leading labels like Virus Recordings, Moving Shadow, True Players, and more.
